Are you overwhelmed by the constant headlines about medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Zepbound? It seems like overnight, GLP-1 medications have completely transformed the conversation around weight loss and metabolic health. But with all the media hype and celebrity endorsements, it can be incredibly difficult to separate medical facts from internet fiction.
Wendy Wright will present a clear, fact-based webinar where she cuts through the noise and breaks down exactly what these medications are, how they work, and what the data really shows.
Whether you are a healthcare professional, someone considering these treatments, or simply curious about the science of obesity, this session will provide you with the grounded, evidence-based information you need.
Wendy L. Wright, DNP, FNP-C, FAANP, FAAN, is a highly accomplished nurse practitioner with extensive clinical, educational, and entrepreneurial experience. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama and has completed advanced nurse practitioner programs at Simmons University. Dr. Wright owns an award-winning nurse practitioner-led clinic in New Hampshire, leads a medical education company, and serves as Chief Clinical Officer of a technology startup supporting NP-owned clinics. Her numerous honors include being named among the Top 100 Scholars by the University of Alabama, NH Nurse Practitioner of the Year, and one of America's Top 10 NPs. Dr. Wright is also an author, founder of the NH Chamber of Entrepreneurial Nurse Practitioners, and a recognized speaker and consultant in healthcare.

Join Dr. Pedja Stojicic, of the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health and People Power Health, an organization that has trained more than 500 leaders on how to co-create equitable health systems in their workplaces and communities.

The workshop takes place the morning of April 7 at 2 Delta Drive in Concord. This is on the Northeast Delta Dental campus in the Maine Room. The morning will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with networking and breakfast. The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to Noon. We hope to see you there! Flyer attached.

The Lupus Foundation of America offers Lupus Education for Nurses, a CNE-accredited course at no cost, designated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and worth 1.0 nursing contact hour.

 Why this Matters

Lupus is a complex, chronic autoimmune disease that can affect any part of the body and often presents differently from patient to patient. Because symptoms can mimic other conditions, delays in recognition and diagnosis are common—making nurses’ awareness and confidence especially important across settings.

  • The course helps nurses recognize signs and symptoms of lupus
  • Understand diagnosis and treatment considerations
  • Strengthen approaches to patient education and support across the care continuum

You can access the course here: Lupus.org/WD4927.
