Agenda attached.
There is limited parking (mostly resident) at Seapoint Beach itself. However, there is free parking along the road about 1/4 to 1/2 mile away.
We will have different ‘stations’ - where volunteers take turns educating people about the links between oceans/blue space and human health, One Health, beach/water/seafood safety, etc.
We need a nurse volunteer to talk about ‘reef safe sun screen’ station- informing people about protecting themselves against skin cancer while choosing products with less harmful chemicals to help the environment from1:30 to 2. Please reach out to Semra @ semra.aytur@unh.edu if you can volunteer.
We will do some mini science experiments/demos for kids and adults.  We have a 'lab in a box' (mini PCR device that tests water quality). Will talk about microplastics, pollution, ocean acidification, the importance of Marine Protected Areas, etc. One of our UNH Social Work graduate students will do a ‘blue space mindfulness practice’ this year to help us de-stress and appreciate the role of the environment in health and healing.
