All candidates must be current members of NHNA.
NHNA has two board positions opening in January 2025:
- Director at Large
- President -Elect (one year), President (two years), Past President (one year) Total= four-year commitment
NHNA has one alternate representative for Membership Assembly
- Membership Assembly Alternate (two -year commitment)
NHNA has commission member openings for all three commissions:
- Commission on Government Affairs
- Commission on Nursing Practice
- Commission on Planetary Health
NHNA has several openings for the Policy Review Committee

Please register for the Annual Meeting on 9/24/24 when winners will be announced.
New Hampshire Nurses’ Association 2024 Awards Program
The New Hampshire Nurses’ Association Awards Program provides a prestigious opportunity to recognize outstanding performance by Registered Nurses as well as exceptional support on the part of others in regard to the profession of nursing. Award recipients are selected based on nominations submitted to the NHNA Commission on Nursing Practice and are approved by the Board of Directors. It is expected that all nominations will include evidence of how the nominee (individual or group) demonstrates the core values of the New Hampshire Nurses’ Association, including:
- Caring
- Integrity
- Excellence
- Diversity, Inclusivity, Equality, Belonging
Nominations may be submitted only by NHNA members. NHNA membership for the nominee is encouraged but is not required to be eligible for nomination.
This year, we will present these awards in conjunction with the NHNA Annual Member meeting, including the following:
- Champion of Nursing Award (This is a non-nurse recipient presented to an individual, group, or organization)
- Rising Star Award (This recipient is a nurse with 5 or less years in nursing practice)
- Hall of Fame Award (This recipient is recognized as having a distinguished, life-long commitment and leadership of New Hampshire nurses)

NHNA Scholarships for Extraordinary Members!
One of the goals for the Commission on Nursing Practice is to “encourage and promote nursing advancement by supporting life-long learning.” We are excited to be able to offer NHNA members scholarships toward furthering their education. We have three scholarship opportunities for members who are enrolled in the following program types:
- BSN (including RN-BSN) $1500
- MSN $1500
