Day of Remembrance: March 11th

Posted about 3 years ago

To mark the one-year anniversary of the global coronavirus pandemic on March 11, ANA will honor the ultimate sacrifice made by the more than 500 nurses in the United States who lost their lives to COVID-19--often succumbing to the disease after caring for patients afflicted by it--with a Day of Remembrance.

We urge everyone to join together on March 11 to remember those health care workers who have passed. This remembrance might take the form of a moment of silence at the start of a shift in a health care organization, or the beginning of the workday, wearing or displaying a white or blue ribbon, and/or lighting a candle in honor of those we've lost.
