Posted 19 days ago by Paula Mac Kinnon

Call for Nominations

As a member of the New Hampshire Nurses Association (NHNA), you have an opportunity to determine the leadership of the organization.  NHNA relies on the volunteer contributions of its members to serve on its Board of Directors and Commissions.  The Board of Directors contributes to the development and implementation of the NHNA Strategic Plan and Annual Business Plans, recruits new members, represents NHNA locally and nationally and supports the work of the organization's various Commissions and Task Forces.  Commission and Task Force members serve to further the work of the various commissions and task forces.

Members can nominate themselves or another member to one of the open positions on the Board or Commission.  Three Board positions will open in January 2021:

  • President-Elect (4-year commitment)
  • Secretary (2-year commitment)
  • Director at Large (2-year commitment)

More information regarding Board positions can be found on the NHNA website at: https://nhnurses.nursingnetwork.com/page/93156-elected-positions.

NHNA Commission & Task Force Openings:

  • Commission on Government Affairs, 2-3 openings
  • Commission on Nursing Practice, 2-3 openings
  • Commission on Continuing Education, 2-3 openings
  • Finance Audit and Investments Task Force, 1 opening
  • Membership Engagement Task Force, 7 openings

Members serve for a period of two years.  More information regarding the Commissions and the work they do can be found on the NHNA website at: https://nhnurses.nursingnetwork.com/page/93148-commission-descriptions

Nominations will be open from July 20, 2020 through August 19, 2020.  Any member interested in one of these leadership opportunities should complete an Intent-to-Serve form, located at  https://form.jotform.com/71595221584157

In completing this form, the member will be acknowledging a commitment to attend all regular meetings of the Commission/Task Force and to attend any events sponsored by the group.  All nominations are due by August 19, 2020.  Any questions should be directed to Joan Widmer, Nurse Executive Director at office@nhnurses.org.
