NHNA Awards Nomination Period Open

The New Hampshire Nurses’ Association Annual Awards Program provides a prestigious opportunity to recognize outstanding performances by a NH registered nurse, as well as recognition of exceptional support on the part of others regarding the profession of nursing. 

Three awards will be presented during the Nurses Night at the Museum, on November 20, 2019.

  1. Distinguished Member Award: The New Hampshire Nurses Association’s (NHNA) is pleased to announce this new award designed to honor a nurse with substantive service to NHNA through work on the Commissions, work in nursing advocacy and/or work on an NHNA Task Force. The awardee will demonstrate a commitment to the vision and mission of NHNA and must be a member of the organization.

  2. The Rising Star Award honors a nurse who has been in the field less than five (5) years and has contributed to the profession and has demonstrated significant potential as a leader and nursing advocate - a rising star in the field.

  3. The Champion of Nursing Award honors an employer/institution or individual who has had a positive impact on the profession of nursing. This employer/institution or individual will have contributed by demonstrating characteristics and/or practices that support individual nurses or the nursing profession.

Please note:

  • Only current NHNA members may nominate a nurse for any of these nursing awards. 

  • Recipients of the Rising Star and Champion of Nursing Awards do not have to be NHNA members.
