What Nurses Need to Know about Human Trafficking

Posted about 6 years ago

In a few weeks, New Hampshire Nurses Association (NHNA) willl send a delegation to the American Nurses Association's (ANA) Membership Assembly in Washington DC.  At this meeting, ANA members from around the country will discuss issues and trends important to nurses and health care.  This year one of the forum topics will be Human Trafficking

Fortunately, the members of the NHNA delegation will be well prepared for this discussion because they will be attending the Spotlight on Nursing on June 13th and learn more on this topic from Michelle Poirier, the SANE Program Coordinator for Concord Hospital.  Michelle will share what every nurse needs to know about human trafficking: how to identify its victims, the health consequences this pratice has on its victims, the resources that are available to aid its victims and much more.

Click here if you want to learn more about attending the Spotlight on Nursing.  We hope to see you all there.
