NHNA is Forming a Bylaws Task Force

Posted about 5 years ago

The New Hampshire Nurses’ Association (NHNA) is seeking to convene a Task Force to review our current bylaws and discuss several possible changes.  The American Nurses Association has proposed several changes to the ANA bylaws, which will be discussed at the upcoming Membership Assembly in June.  The NHNA Board of Directors believe these proposed changes make sense for NHNA as well.

In addition, the Task Force will also review the bylaws changes proposed in 2018, which had to be deferred due to lack of a quorum at the Annual Business Meeting last November.  After an initial orientation meeting, at a time to be determined by the members of the Task Force, most of the work of revising the NHNA bylaws will be conducted virtually, between April and June of this year.  The Task Force will be chaired by Carmen Petrin, NHNA Board Member.

The ideal participant is someone who has previously held an NHNA Board position and/or has experience with reviewing and drafting bylaws within another organization.  Task Force participants must be NHNA members.  If you are interested in helping us with this important work, please complete an Intent-to-Serve form, found on the NHNA website (https://nhnurses.nursingnetwork.com/page/63801-intent-to-serve).  Please enter Bylaws Task Force in the first box on this form.
