Volunteer Opportunity

Posted about 1 month ago by Joan Widmer

The New Hampshire Nurses Association is looking for a member volunteer to serve as one of its two representatives on the Northeast Multi-State Division’s (NEMSD) Board of Directors.  The NEMSD is an organization of member State Nurses Associations (SNA), which are constituent members of the American Nurses Association.  The NEMSD is focused on meeting the continuing education certification needs of nurses in the member SNAs and across the NEMSD, with aspiration to addressing advocacy, membership engagement and management needs of member states in the future.  Current member states include Maine, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont.  The NEMSD Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the organization.

As one of two Board members representing New Hampshire, you will need to attend and participate in the monthly Board meetings via conference call and then report any issues/needs to the NHNA Board of Directors as needed.  These meeting generally last about one hour.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with ANCC certified programs and ideally working as a nursing educator in either academia or within the clinical environment.

Interested members should complete an Intent-to-Serve form, located on the NHNA website at this link: https://nhnurses.nursingnetwork.com/page/63801-intent-to-serve.  Please enter NEMSD Board in the first box on this form.
