NHNA Legislative Advocacy Council

Posted over 5 years ago by Pamela DiNapoli

The registration period for volunteering to participate on New Hampshire Nurses Association’s (NHNA) Legislative Advocacy Council has been extended to November 9th

Do you want to help share your nursing stories to help New Hampshire legislators understand complex healthcare issues before them?  Nurses understand health care and its impact on patients and their families.  Nurses are uniquely positioned to affect health care legislation, if we only use our voices.

You can use your voice by volunteering to participate on NHNA’s Legislative Advocacy Council.  Volunteers will be assigned to one of four teams, which will be led by a member of the Commission on Government Affairs (CGA).  The CGA will provide advocacy tools on its website and provide training at a dinner on December 4th in Concord.  The Council will be active from January to April 2019 and much of the work will be virtual.

If you are interested, please complete an Intent-to-Serve from on the NHNA website:  Click here

Let us also know which team you are interested in:

  • Nursing Practice and Licensure Issues
  • Maternal & Child Health Issues (including school nurse issues)
  • Public Health Issues
  • Behavior & Mental Health Issues
