Congratulations to NHNA's Healthy Nurse Scholarship Winners

On Saturday, October 20, 2018, during the Healthy Nurse Scholarship 5K and Health Fair, the New Hampshire Nurses Association presented the first two scholarships from the Healthy Nurse Scholarship Fund.  This fund was created in recognition of nursing’s commitment to life-long learning through the proceeds from last year’s Healthy Nurse Scholarship 5K.

The RN-BSN Scholarship was presented to Kristianne Pinard.  In Kristianne’s application she spoke to the importance of collaboration saying that, “Collaboration is the best way to keep our care for the resident’s person-centered, improving their quality of life and health outcomes.”

The Certification Scholarship was presented to Leila Volinsky.  Leila recently passed the Certified Professional in Patient Safety exam, provided through the Institute for Health Improvement.  In her application Leila stated that, “achieving this certification demonstrates my high level of knowledge related to patient safety practices…I will be able to work with fellow nurses to develop an optimize workflows to improve patient safety.
